Louise Johncox is a journalist who has written articles published
in The
Sunday Times, The Times, The
Telegraph and The Guardian. Louise was born in
Weybridge, Surrey, where her father worked as a baker and chocolatier in
the family tea shop from 1958 to 2000. Louise comes from a long line of pastry
chefs originating from Poschiavo on the Swiss Italian border. Instead of
following in the family tea shop tradition, Louise trained as a journalist.
She worked as a staff writer on The
Times where
she commissioned food articles for The Magazine and as Assistant
Editor on
Sunday Times, ‘Style’. Louise is a former lecturer at Bath Spa University where she completed her PhD in Creative Writing. Louise is the author of The Baker’s Daughter (available as a hardback) and A Life Shaped by Cakes (Louise’s longer version PhD baking memoir available as an ebook).
Louise writes a monthly column, On The Tea Shop Trail, for Surrey Life magazine.
